New Emergency Department Opens at Blackrock Clinic Immediate access to specialist consultants.

Blackrock Clinic Ireland's best known independent hospital extended its medical services today with the opening of a new Emergency Department. Patients will be seen by an Emergency Medicine Consultant and if admission is required, immediately offered a bed under the care of the hospitals range of leading Consultants. In addition the Emergency Department offers patients instant access to extensive diagnostic facilities including MRI, CT and Ultrasound. 

Blackrock Clinic Opens New Day Surgery Unit. Increasing hospital's day care capacity by 200%.

Phasse 2 of Blackrock Clinic's €100m expansion programme is nearing completion this week with the opening of a new purpose built Day Care Unit. The New Unit houses two full operating theatres, two endoscopy suites, three minor procedure rooms and thirty three bed spaces and recliner chairs, increasing the hospital's day care capacity by 200% and making it one of the largest day care providers in the country. The unit will enable delivery of efficient treatments for up to 100 patients per day freeing up inpatient bed capacity in the hospital and facilitating extra patients.

Blackrock Clinic has launched a new freephone enquiry line to assist patients, families, visitors and health professionals  with any queries they may have in advance of visiting the hospital.   Whether its practical advice such as directions to the hospital to details of local B&Bs, hotels, cafes/restaurants nearby for families of patients living outside Dublin, experienced staff are at the end of the phone for advice.
