Joint & Muscle Pain

Muscles and joints can begin to ache for a number of different reasons, and can be experienced by people of all ages.

This is a list of some of the underlying reasons for your pain:

  • Joints – Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis; bone fractures.
  • Muscles – Overuse; excessive and repetitive use; direct trauma.
  • Tendons – Conditions such as Tennis elbow, Achilles Tendonitis.
  • Ligaments – Sprain; overstretching; poor posture; trauma.

If you develop aching in a number of joints at the same time, you should seek the advice of your GP.

Thorough assessment by your physiotherapist will help identify the cause of the problem and identify ways to reduce or resolve your pain.
