Blood testing is a walk in service, with a speedy turn around for your patient’s convenience. It is based within our Outpatient Radiology Department. The patient must attend with a referral document.

The Phlebotomy Department opening hours are:

• Monday to Thursday: 7am – 6pm
• Friday: 7am – 5pm
• Saturday and Sunday: Closed

Pathology

The Pathology Department at Blackrock Clinic is one of the largest independent laboratories attached to a private hospital in Ireland.

Areas of operation include Clinical Biochemistry / Endocrinology / Point of Care Testing, Haematology, Blood Transfusion, Microbiology and Cellular Pathology.

The Department is accredited by INAB (Irish National Accreditation Board) to the ISO 15189 – 2012 standards.
