To align Blackrock Clinic’s GP community with best patient data protection practice, Blackrock Clinic welcomes secure online referrals through the Healthlink portal. Healthlink allows the secure transmission of clinical patient information between hospitals and healthcare professionals, and is already established within the HSE hospital network.

Electronic referral benefits:

• Faster and easier access to consultants for the GP
• Standardised referral form for easier consultant triaging of referred patients (GP is able to upload full laboratory and radiology patient record within referral document)
• Improved communication between consultant and GP
