Dr Briggs trained in Northern Ireland and London and spent 8 years as a consultant radiologist in the Southern Trust, Northern Ireland where he was lead for neuro, head and neck, and breast imaging. Management roles included Director of Breast screening and regional QA lead radiologist for the Northern Ireland Breast Screening Programme.

His practice incorporates all aspects of general and emergency radiology, including non-vascular interventional procedures such as image guided biopsy and drainage. Areas of specialist interest are head and neck radiology, neuro-imaging, breast radiology and quality assurance.
