Professional Profile

Mr Doyle graduated in 1998 having obtained an academic scholarship to University College Dublin Medical School.  Awarded a 1st Class Honours MSc from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2001, he completed basic surgical training in AMNCH and was awarded an Associate Fellowship, RCSI  in 2002.  He was appointed to the National Higher Surgical Training Scheme in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2005 and obtained an RCS Fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2009.  Awarded a CCT in 2011, Mr Doyle was appointed as a Fellow in the prestigious Royal, Devon and Exeter Hospital, UK, where he received specialist training in lower limb arthroplasty including revision surgery.  He was subsequently appointed as a Consultant in RD&E University Hospital in 2002.

Special Interests

Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery, with special interest in Hip and Knee arthroplasty, including revision surgery.

Research Interests

Hip and knee pathology.
