Personal Profile

Mr Prakash Madhavan graduated in 1986.

He completed his surgical training in the UK and Ireland becoming a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and Glasgow in 1990. He was awarded the Inter-Collegiate fellowship on General Surgery in 1996.

He was appointed Consutlant Vascular Surgeon in St. James’s Hospital in 2000. Since then he has been active in advancing the role of endovascular techniques in the management of peripheral arterial disease, abdominal aortic and thoracic aneurysmal disease.

Professional Profile

Mr Madhavan has served as a council member of the Vascular Surgical Society of Great Britain and Ireland from 2007 – 2009. He is currently the head of the department of Vascular Surgery at St James’s Hospital.
