Professional Profile
Graduated as an MBBCH and BMedSci from UCD medical school in 1999. Completed undergraduate and general professional training in the Mater Misericordiae Hospital in 2001 and went on to complete over four years of SPr cardiology training in Ireland. From there in 2006, travelled to the Royal Brompton Hospital for a further 3 years to complete an imaging and research fellowship in Cardiovascualr Magnetic Resonance Imaging under the guidance of Professor Dudley Pennell and Dr Sanjay Prasad. Areas of research and clinical interest lie in the Cardiomyopathies, Sudden death in the young and sports cardiology. Worked also in the heart hospital in London under the guidance of Dr Perry Elliot ansd Professor Bill McKenna.

Cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging, Cardiomyopathy, Heart Failure, Sudden Cardiac Death and Sports Cardiology.
Research Interests
The role of cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging to diagnose, risk stratify and provide prognostic information in ischaemic and non-ischaemic cardiomyopathy.

Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging, British Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonace Imaging and Honorary Consultant Cardiologist for the Cardiac risk in the young (C-R-Y) charity.
