Professional Profile

Prof Walsh is a consultant cardiologist with an interest in electrophysiology, inherited cardiac conditions, and congenital cardiology.

He trained in in Toronto and did his electrophysiology training in Cincinnati in the United States. After spending 6 years as a consultant in University Hospital Bristol, he returned to Dublin to take up a joint appointment in the Mater University Hospital and CHI Crumlin.

Prof. Walsh specialises in all aspects of catheter ablation and pacing. In particular areas of interest are management of inherited cardiac conditions, sports cardiology and POTS / dysautonomia. Prof. Walsh has a keen interest in research and has published multiple papers in international peer review journals.
