A New Central Decontamination Unit

The CDU will sterilize instruments and prevent the spread of infection.  A further €7m was invested in this unit which includes separate lifts and corridors to segregate the transport of clean and used instruments to ensure no cross-contamination.  Processes include washing, boiling and vacuum sealing.
