GPs, CPD & Blackrock Clinic

Blackrock Clinic will close out 2022 with not one but two GP Study Day webinars. All our GP educational events carry CPD points and are structured with relevance to best practice in the primary care setting in mind.

On December 6th, we will be hosting a panel of distinguished consultants in cardiology and electrophysiology, including Blackrock Clinic consultants Prof. David Keane and Dr Danny O’Hare, for a discussion on “Management Dilemmas in Atrial Fibrillation.” 

Regarding medical expertise in atrial fibrillation (AF), Professor Keane and Dr O’Hare t have co-authored a reference guide to the condition, entitled ‘Randomised Trials of Atrial Fibrillation Management’ which is now available to GPs across the country.

A week later, on the 13th of December, members of Blackrock Clinic’s urology team, including Mr James Forde, Prof. Stephen Connelly and Mr Niall Davis, will sit down for a panel discussion, sharing their expertise and insights from the cutting-edge urological treatment in Ireland in ‘Urology – Challenging Cases in Primary Care‘.

These will be the latest entries in our long-running GP Study Day series. These events are important to us, as they offer us an unparalleled opportunity to connect and share our expertise with our partners in general practice. To date, our monthly webinars have been viewed 2230 times in 2022 alone.

The series will continue apace in the New Year. Currently, there are an additional 9 webinars scheduled for 2023, covering a wide array of medical subject matter and featuring a diverse group of experts from the Blackrock Clinic team.

In addition, on January 14th, we will be coming together with our Blackrock Health sister clinics, Galway Clinic and Hermitage Clinic, for an in-person GP study at the Clayton Hotel in Leopardstown. All GPs are welcome and we hope to meet many of you at the event.
