Carol Meere

Carol Meere joined the Blackrock Clinic Occupational Therapy Dept. in March 2021 as a Senior Occupational Therapist. Together with her OT colleague, she is responsible for the development and delivery of the Occupational Therapy service for all in-patients.

Carol completed an MSc in Occupational Therapy at the University of Limerick and graduated with first class honours in 2009. In addition to her occupational therapy qualification, Carol holds a degree in Human Physiology and Rehabilitation.

Carol began her Occupational Therapy career working in adult Mental Health services before moving onto Primary Care where she gained valuable skills in the areas of home assessments, housing adaptations, specialised seating and assessment and assistive equipment. Carol then transitioned to a private acute hospital where she was responsible for the development and expansion of the Occupational Therapy service across the clinical areas of orthopaedics, oncology, general medicine and medicine for the elderly.

Carol is CORU accredited and is an active member of the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland since 2008.
