Pathology is the precise study and diagnosis of disease. Blackrock Clinic’s significant Pathology Department has been a key part of the hospital’s operations since it opened over 25 years ago.
It changed location to the St Catherine’s Building, to the left of the hospital as one drives up from the front carpark towards the multistorey car park.
The Laboratory performs a number of tests, procedures and specialist services. It is one of the largest independent laboratories attached to a private hospital in Ireland
The Pathology team has over 45 staff plus microbiologists and consultants.
Depending on your policy, some of these tests are covered by health insurance. You may also be entitled to tax relief on some tests.
