Endovenous Laser Ablation is a highly successful day-case procedure to remove varicose veins.  Prior to the procedure, an ultrasound scan is performed. This guides a catheter into position within the vein, through which a tiny laser is passed. The laser delivers short bursts of energy which heat and seal the vein.
