Thorascopic Sympathectomy

Hyperhidrosis is characterized by abnormal, excessive sweating that can occur in the hands, arm-pits and feet. For some, the abundant sweating is localized to one area. Excessive sweating is commonly controlled by the sympathetic nervous system. Using a minimally invasive approach (VATS) the sympathetic chain is divided, eliminating the excessive sympathetic nervous activity and sweating.
